We need to quit this foolishness and get die-cast down with a little bit of 1990s Bburago goodness!

For some reason my Bburago posts are always a bit left field, and what a title! But I mean, what’s not to love about these wonderful 1990s die-cast toy car images… brought to you via catalogues from the Italian manufacturer Bburago and lovingly scanned by your humble TVTA editor. We ain’t no fools, sucker!

Bburago was founded by brothers Mario, Ugo, and Martino Besana in 1976. Hailing from the town of Burago in their native Italy, they combined the letter “B” of Burago with the initial “B” of their family surname to create Bburago. You can see my additional posts for Bburago here. In the meantime, check out my selected scans from the 1991, 1992 and 1994 catalogues featuring the models of the day along with examples from the Die-Cast Metal Kits 1/18 and 1/24 scale range, packaging examples, and key rings!

Micro Machines dealer catalogue by Ideal Toys

Cover. Micro Machines 1991/92 Ideal/Lewis Galoob Toys catalogue. France.

Produced by Galoob Toys in 1987 and currently owned by Hasbro, Micro Machines is a line of miniature scale vehicles and play sets. As well as producing their own vehicles Galoob held licenses for well-known TV and film franchises such as Star Trek, Star Wars, James Bond, Power Rangers and MIB, as well as producing a series of Rockin’ Wheels sets that featured the touring vehicles of famous bands such as AC/DC, Deep Purple and others.

TVTA is pleased to present selected new scans from an interesting Micro Machines catalogue I recently acquired: a 1990/91 unstamped dealer catalogue. It’s licensed to Ideal Toys from Lewis Galoob Toys, and was aimed at the French-speaking market. (This is my earliest so far catalogue for Micro Machines; the others can be seen in my post here)

Polly Pocket

It’s a new entry for TVTA as we present some 1995 Polly Pocket scans from French catalogue Ets De Neuter.

Polly Pocket is a line of toy dolls and accessories that became popular during the late 80s and early 90s. The original dolls came in pocket-size cases and were sold by Bluebird toys of the UK and Mattel. Polly Pocket has also appeared in feature films, video games and a web series. It continues to be sold to date.
