DIGGER DAN

The Digger Dan line offered a range of construction vehicles along with play accessories such as figures, tools, water pumps, winches and a cement mixer.  The vehicles had interchangeble parts and could be operated manually or by batteries.

I don’t remember if these were available in the UK during the eighties, and I couldn’t find much info online. In the US they were distributed by Revell, and in France by Joustra .
