Greetings vintage mates. Here is a teaser for this Halloween’s TVTA pumpkin creation… possibly my most ambitious pumpkin to date as it comprises more than 20 components across 3 elements, plus a background! Below are 4 mini pumpkins to be used along with some acrylic paint and, erm, chopsticks. Long-time readers will know that I make a pumpkin creation each Halloween for TVTA ππ
Clues: the creation is based on a classic piece of children’s literature which is known across many generations as a popular and fun story to read!
The protagonist is a type of creature somewhat prone to change!
750 vintage points up for grabs if you can name the title of the story the pumpkin is based on. Bonus points galore for just wildly guessing anything! All being well I should have the creation ready for posting on Monday 31st! πππ
In other news…
TVTA just got married, again!
Meet my new wife, Lucretia. Pictures taken on our honeymoon in the corridors of a local French nuclear power station.
Lucretia says I’ve put on weight since our engagement, but, I mean, c’mon, just look at her slender figure… enough to make anyone seem tubby standing next to her.
True love! β€β₯π π π₯°β€
And in other news…
Here is an ad-blast from the past…
The Shrunken Head Apple Sculpture Kit (you know you want one!) from TVTA’s post May 15 2019
Thanks for looking! Join us on 31st October when we unleash our TVTA Halloween pumpkin!
You sure have style, Sir

Love the Shrunken Head Kit!
I suppose today it would be a virtual kit. Doesn’t seem as much fun.
Noting Vincent Price, I must say his many movies were played this last week! He sure had a unique career. xox

Hi Resa, thanks! Vincent Price… a horror legend, ay? Interesting point about the Shrunken Head kit, maybe it would be more virtual in this day and age?

The old way of arts and crafts are dying away!

Some yes. It’s a frightening to see AI art replacing traditional design, because some publishers and editors see it as a cheaper option than hiring a graphic designer or artist.

Congratulations, your wife has lovely teeth. Hope you have a very long nuclear half life together. Werewolfs change Dracula changed to a bat, Jackyl and hide changed. No idea but excited to see the resulting pumpkin

Thanks Neo. Will pass on the compliments to Lucretia about her teeth. She does have a nice set, and I love the way they glow in the dark when she sets them in her glass tumbler for the night on the bedside table.
400 vintage points coming your way for some excellent thinking based on ‘things that can transform’ π

Many thanks! Those French nuclear power stations certainly can leave a happy couple with a glowing feeling!

Many spooky congrats to Lucretia and yourself, my nekromantik, graveyard usurping vintage buddy! π

Lucretia is warmed by your words my dear friend, and your sentiments brought tears to her eyes (once I removed a few worms from the sockets). She instructs me to award you 500 vintage points, which on top of the 500 I was about to award you makes you a vintage point picker top pick four-figure dark lord of DC comics and gargantuan goth goodness! π

Hello Mr and Mrs TVTA! Hey Mr TVTA…I hope you take your new wife somewhere nice and warm on honeymoon…cos the cold will go straight through Lucretia if you don’t.

Why thank you kindly dear FT. Yes, the honeymoon was at a French nuclear power station – because, yes, Lucretia is prone to feeling the cold, and there is always a warm glow about nuclear power stations I think.

Well, congratulations to TVTA and Lucretia! She does look marvellous (as do you, of course). Did she have loads of people to get her ready on the big day or was it just a skeleton crew?
That Shrunken Head ad is horrifying! I had a teacher in Year 3 who looked a bit like that…
Not sure on the pumpkin just yet, but I suppose at least this way it’ll be a surefire surprise!

Thank you, Jacob, the happy couple are doing their best to stay marvellous for the forseeable future. 200 vintage points to you for the ‘skeleton crew’ joke π
Yeah, that Shrunken Head ad is just bonkers! Lol at one of your old teachers looking like that. It reminds me a bit of my old boss when I left school, that and the fact he looked like a Mad Balls toy…
Yippee! I finished my pumpkin tonight! It looks even better than I imagined!

Glad to hear it π And thanks for those extra vintage points.
Haha, there’s probably something in a story or game about scary teachers/bosses who look a bit like Madballs.
Yay, nice one! Looking forward to it i:)
