I’m a huge fan of the original trilogy films, but sadly there is a lot of toxic crap from some Star Wars fans surrounding the later releases. The later films are okay in my book. Shame the bad vibes as it spoils the experience.

Interesting! You’d think folks who love the series would just be thrilled to have more!

Yes. And I think most are honestly. Just a few who are really upset and go to some lengths to state it. For me it’s a generation thing – my films were the late 70s early 80s. The next gen was the late 90s early 2000s. The more recent films are for kids nowadays. Basically, you have some adults complaining about a film meant for kids coz it’s not as good as the ones they liked when they were ten 🙂
Ok, I could get flamed for that, and it does go a bit deeper, but not much tbh.
As for George Lucas… he’s an artist, he can do what he likes with his art.
Star Wars films… they’re a bit like Marmite 🤣 🙂

Hi TVTA, another great collection which obviously interests me a lot but I’m slightly worried about the “I am your Father” chirashi. Is that supposed to be Senator/Emperor Palpatine because it looks more like Dave Prowse than it does Ian McDiarmid!

Hi FT, thanks, and you’re right it is Dave Prowse not Palpatine. The film is a documentary made about Prowse’s role as Darth Vader in the Original Trilogy.
I haven’t seen it but would like to.

Hi again, thank the Force! I wasn’t sure if my eyes were deceiving me but thinking about it it makes sense for Dave Prowse’s image to be there as he was the man in the suit all those years!

I should have shown the reverse image of it too. Couple of pics of Prowse in makeup at the studio, and even without the helmet on he just has ‘that distinct’ Vader profile and presence. If Wooof goes down into the scanning room today I’ll get him to make a quick scan and add it to the post, so you can see what I mean.

Wonderful Japanese Star Wars posters and adverts! The Japanese posters always seem to have so much rich detail to them. Brilliant!

Thanks, Paul. I agree, always a pleasure to add the chirashi posters. Some of the doubles I’ve gained over the years are in clip frames and displayed on the wall – they look brilliant, and only take up minimal space being mini posters 🙂
