… or at any other time of the year!
I was sorting through my horror DVDs for some upcoming Halloween viewing and decided to scan a few of the cover images for today’s post. I’m itching to rewatch The Evil Dead, Profondo Rosso (Deep Red), Let The Right One In, Only Lovers Left Alive, and The Company of Wolves…
Which would you choose from this random selection?
Thanks for considering your horror options! πππ
Lots of great movies here, especially “The Lost Boys” & “Dawn of the Dead”!
… any Chucky?

Just saw Let the Right One In last night and was disappointed, did not like the two lead kids.

RE; Dawn of the Dead. I appreciate the longer cut (and the European cut, et al) but Romero has long stated the original released version was the director’s cut. Just watched it again this evening. Such a brilliant film.

Agree. It’s such a fine film, and one that easily goes high in my top ten horrors.

Rarely watch horror. Just can’t sleep after, sometimes for days

I understand. Some of them can leave a lasting impression. How about comedy horrors like Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, The Addams Family and such? I still consider these horror, but don’t really think of them as scary or gory.

Generally comedy horrors and Sci Fi like Alien are fine. Watching zombie flesh eaters at about 13 years old did the damage

I watched The Exorcist at around the same age, and although it scared me I was fascinated to see more films like it. I’d already read the book, plus other books like The Amityville Horror and The Shining, so I was used to horror, but not quite in the way The Exorcist presented it on film.

Cheers MetalMan and for sure you can add Halloween, that’s one of my top fave horrors along with The Thing, Poltergeist, Hellraiser, Psycho, Texas Chain Saw Massacre… so many to add!
