Only 13 days to Halloween!

Not long to go now vintage mates, and the TVTA office is well a-wailing with ghoulish goings on and spooky scanning shenanigans! Wooof just got back from le kiosque presse with our Halloween edition of Première featuring Jamie Lee Curtis on the cover, while I’ve been busy scanning images of horror-themed toys from Tomart’s Action Figure Digest, 2006.

Hi TVTA, I haven’t seen those BTVS and Angel collectables before, I should have “figured” they would make a range but never saw them.
But regards to statuettes and busts etc, the one item I would love to own was an Aliens filming maquette of the Xenomorph. I got to see the screen used puppet when it went on display in the early 90’s as part of a book tour at video rental shops. I knew one of the contributors to the book and got to have a real close up look at the model when it came to my town. The skull had over 9 layers of paint and clear coat varnish to give it a glass like appearance and you could see all the “brain matter” and “blood vessels” beneath. It was a real piece of art. (I think Aliens is close enough to Horror!)

Hi FT, that screen prop sounds fantastic. The Alien franchise is one of my all time favourites. Can’t wait for further instalments. I keep meaning to try and get hold of some of the Funko 3.75 inch Re-Action figures vintage style. The Predator ones are good too.

I think it would be even better on my display shelf 😀 But it would be a little out of my price range now, heaven knows how much it cost to make let alone what it is worth now it is screen used! I might look up some of the Funkos but I hear they can be expensive too.

Great horror action figures and statues! I’ve not got a statue, but I do have a Pinhead bobble head on my desk, he’s kinda fun! 🙂

I like the Bobble Heads figures. Pinhead would be brilliant to have. I have Luke X-Wing pilot and Princess Leia.

Yeah, I’ve never seen any of the other Cenobites as bobbleheads though. My pinhead is holding the little box/cube thing as well 🙂

I just looked online and the Bobblehead one is really cool. The regular Funko one is also cool – seems to be two of them, one with a cube and one with arms folded. Ha, I want one now 🙂

Oh yes, there are two versions, I got the one with the cube. They are a fun take on such a iconic horror character, well worth treating yourself to one 🙂
