Captain Harlock / Albator – rebel, romantic, space pirate

Captain Harlock, also known around the world as “Albator” or “Captain Herlock” is the futuristic space pirate character created by Leiji Matsumoto in 1978. The manga character has featured in several films, animated TV series and comic books, as well as appearing in other media such as action figures, dolls, music, and food and drink promotions. The character has been dramatised in some form in every decade from 1978 up until 2013’s film Space Pirate Captain Harlock.
