POLISTIL… Italian model vehicles and toys

Polistil is an Italian toy company specialising in die cast metal and plastic vehicles of different scales. It began life as “Politoys” in the 1960s, but in 1970 it is believed the company changed its name to Polistil – possibly to avoid confusion with the UK toy manufacturer “Palitoy”. Polistil was also responsible for making educational games and mounting boxes, as well as holding the Italian license for GI Joe and Lady GI action dolls.
